A Look at Our System
In the fall of 2009 the healthcare debate was in the headlines nearly everyday. A lot the of information in the media dealt with political maneuvering in Washington and opinions of experts and pundits on television and radio.
As a class we tried to go beyond what the mainstream media was doing and sought out individuals who could tell us how they are effected by our country's healthcare system.
On the following pages you will find a variety of stories from patients, doctors, and others who explain their personal experiences with the system.
We also were able to work with students from another class, Statistics/English 332, that gathered healthcare data and put it in visual form. The results of their work can be found under the Data link below.
